What Happens if I want to sign up for an APL house? Please contact us using the contact us link page and let us know which property you want. We will then get in touch with you and send out a tenancy pack for you & your housemates to complete online.
What is in my tenancy pack? Your tenancy pack will include all the necessary documentation to sign up for one of our houses, an application form, a guarantor form, the tenancy agreement, an guide to completing your tenancy pack on what ID's are required to accompany your tenancy agreement. When the tenancy pack has been completed by all tenants you will then receive a new tenant pack giving you lots of information about your tenancy, your house and the area.
When does the tenancy start & end? Your tenancy starts from 02 July 2025 and ends on 30 June 2026.
How do I pay my rent? We offer two options of paying rent, monthly or termly. All rents are paid directly to the landlord by standing order or faster payments direct to APL. The simplest way is standing order You can set these up either by visiting in branch or by using your online banking app. With termly payments we take a smaller summer rent of £600.00 on or before the 02 July and then rents are paid on 01 October, 01 February & 01 May. Monthly rents are paid over an 11 month period on the 1st day of each month from July to May the following year.
Are all bills included? Yes, Electricity, gas, water, broadband are inclusive and we even pay for your TV Licence.Your tenancy agreement will provide all the information you need regarding inclusive bills.
How do I report an issue? You can email us directly at services@apl-life.com, alternatively just visit our website and click 'Report an Issue'. We employ our own maintenance staff and endeavour to resolve any issue raised within 48hrs although on some occasions and due to waiting for replacement product/parts to arrive this may take longer but we will always keep our tenants well informed if this is ever the case.
